Assistants scale in TNEB on par with the Technical Assistants scale in the
Govt. of Tamilnadu.

Creation of Pension Corpus Fund
in TNEB to ensure pension benefits for all employees, pensioners and family
pensioners of TNEB.

2:3 ratio among Assistant
Engineers and Junior Engineers Grade.I for the entire Board.

one Technical Assistant
in each distribution section of the Board as agreed in principle for better
functioning of the Board.

6. Filling up of all
the vacant Technical Assistant posts (1156 posts) for the better functioning
of the board.

Effective implementation and functioning of
MRT
labs for testing of Energy meters to cut down revenue losses to the
Board and to improve the image of the Board among the public
Apart from the Honourable Minister for Electricity the function was also graced
by the presence of our other distinguished Guests Thiru. V. BALACHANDRAN, IPS,
ADGP/TNEB, Thiru A.S.JEEVARATHINAM, IAS, Employment Commissioner, Thiru
S.KATHIRESAN, M.com., B.G.L., F.I.C.W.A., former Accounts Member/TNEB, and Thiru
B.JAYARAMAN, M.E.,F.I.E., former member of the Tamilnadu Regulatory Commission.
All of them praised the services of the Sangam not only to its members but also
to the society, its rapport with the management and its approach for achieving
its demands.
Another milestone in Sangam’s history was reached when Sangam’s web at
www.tnebes.org was inaugurated by the Honourable Minister for
Electricity. The Honourable Minister for Electricity also gave away the Sangam’s
Kamadhenu Benevolent Fund of amount Rs 1, 10,000/- to three of the deceased
engineers’ family.
Finally came the moment of the evening when the Honourable Minister for
Electricity addressed the gathering acknowledging the praises showered and also
the good governance being done by the Government of Tamil Nadu to the working
society particularly to the Electricity Employees. Each and every demand placed
before the Honourable Minister was well received and the Honourable Minister
assured that necessary steps and action would be taken in the positive direction
for implementation of our demands. Not only that the Honourable Minister made
special mention and praised the Sangam for presenting demands benefiting the
Board and the public. In memory of our Sangam the Honourable Minister and other
guests were presented with a memorabilia.
The conference concluded with the vote of thanks given by the Organizing
Secretary Er. K.SAHAYARAJ, followed up
with our national anthem.
The 5th State Conference conducted by the second generation of office
bearers was lauded for its success, not only by its members but also by the
former veteran office bearers. It was another occasion on which Sangam's banner
was held high witnessed by the third generation, which made every heart to
cherish, that this Sangam which was built on the strong base work of the former
veteran office bearers will travel miles to reach the pinnacle.
